Meet The Hadrick's

Troy and Stacy Hadrick are 5th generation producers from Faulkton, South Dakota. They farm with Troy's two cousins and are in the transition year of taking over from the older generation, which consists of Troy's dad and uncle. On their farm they grow wheat, soybeans, corn and hay. They also have a 350 head cow/calf backgrounding operation. Along with the farming business, the Hadricks also travel the world educating producers about the importance of advocacy and connecting consumers with the people who raise their food. The Hadricks are also involved in their church as leaders of the Sr. High Youth group and also serve as 4-H leaders. On the national level, they are members of National Cattlemen's Beef Association and Farm Bureau. In 2010, the Hadricks were named as BEEF magazine Trailblazers. Troy & Stacy have 3 children: Teigen, age 9; Olivia, age 6; and Reese, age 4.

Favorite Recipe:

Beef Marinade:


  • Beer & Teriyaki Marinade:
  • 2 steaks
  • 2 Tbs teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup dark beer
  • 2 Tbs brown sugar


Dry Rub


  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt


Poke holes all over the steaks with a fork, put in a baking dish. Combine sugar, teriyaki sauce, beer and pour this over the steaks. Let them marinate 30 minutes. Sprinkle with half the salt, pepper, garlic powder and set aside for 10 minutes.

Preheat grill to high. Turn the steaks over and sprinkle over the rest of the salt, pepper and garlic powder. Marinate for 10 more minutes. Remove the steaks from the marinade and pour the marinade into a pan. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Grill the steaks. Baste the steaks with the boiled marinade the last few minutes they are on the grill to bring out the flavor and make them juicy.
