Stew's California Tomato Salsa

Freshly diced vegetables and herbs make this zippy salsa a recipe our chefs come back to time and again.  Serve with tortilla chips, on top of a hamburger, or even use to garnish grilled chicken breasts.


 Preparation Time: 15 MINUTES


Cooking Time: NONE (although it marinates for 1 to 2 hours)


Yield: 4 to 6 servings

Skins removed (blanch them in boiling water to make skin removal easier), halved

1 Medium  Onion $0.89 ea Add to Shopping list

Peeled and chopped

1 or 2  Serrano Chile Pepper $ Add to Shopping list

chopped. To taste.

1/3 cup  Cilantro $ Add to Shopping list


3 tbsp.  Chicken Stock $ Add to Shopping list

or water

To taste  Salt & Pepper $ Add to Shopping list

1. Place all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender.


2. Purée until blended but still a little chunky.


3. Refrigerate the sauce for 1 to 2 hours before serving.
