Ultimate Chicken Parm Grinder

Nothing beats a Chicken Parm Grinder when hunger strikes. Here’s a tasty recipe that shows you how to put together a quick meal using prepared foods from Stew’s. A healthy amount of Stew’s Simply Marinara tops off this sandwich, all wrapped up in a toasted and crunchy grinder roll or a freshly baked baguette from Bethy’s Bakery.

Servings: 6

Prep Time: 6 minutes

Cooking Time: 2 minutes

Total Time: 8 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 Stew's Grinder Rolls, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 4 Stew's Parmesan Herb Crusted Chicken Cutlets, sliced to fit grinder rolls
  • 3 Tbsp. Stew's 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 1/2 cups Stew's Simply Italian Marinara Sauce
  • Stew's Kosher Salt, to taste
  • Stew's Fine Ground Black Pepper, to taste
  • 4-5 oz. Stew's Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Fresh Basil leaves

Directions

  1. Adjust the broiler rack to 8 inches below the heat source and preheat broiler to high.
  2. Place roll halves cut-side-up on a foil-lined rimmed baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Place under broiler and cook until well browned and crisp, about 1 - 2 minutes.
  4. Transfer rolls to a work surface. Spread bottom half of rolls with sauce and top with the chicken cutlets.
  5. Spread chicken with sauce and sprinkle with the shredded cheese.
  6. Place under broiler and cook until cheese is fully melted and starting to bubble and brown. Remove from oven, add basil leaves, and top with the roll tops. Press down to seal together. Serve while warm.
