GETTING READY FOR THE SNOWSTORM AT STEW’S

It’s all-hands-on-deck at Stew’s.  It reminds me of the pandemic when our customers were panic buying! 
 
Here are some items that are rocking:
 
MILK – We had to get an extra trailer load from our dairy farmers.
 
BREAD, BAGELS, AND EGGS – Breakfast items and sandwiches are biggies.  Our ovens will be working overnight.
 
OUR PIZZA OVENS ARE WORKING NON-STOP.  Favorite is our pepperoni.  The stuffed loaves are a hit, too.
 
CUSTOMERS ARE STOCKING UP ON PROPANE IN CASE THEY LOSE POWER.
 
ICE MELT IS IN ALMOST EVERY CART.
 
BEER, WINE, AND VODKA ARE SELLING AS FAST AS THEY HIT THE SHELVES.   What storm?
 
A surprise is, even though it’s cold, ICE CREAM.  If it’s a lockdown on Monday and Tuesday, customers want to be at home with a smile. See our snow day essentials.
 
DURING THE STORM………….
My grandfather delivered milk through every storm 100 years ago, so we stay open at the stores too.  Lots of first responders, police, fire, and municipal workers come in during the storm.  Lots of orange vests!
 
Many Team Members opt to stay home but, we have a core group that love driving their trucks and jeeps in the snow.  Our ovens will be on and there will be at least a butcher on hand.
 
My wife and I are watching our 3 grandchildren this weekend. Yahoo! I think I’ll be sledding and watching them build a snowman.  I have to remember to bring home some hot chocolate!
