Stew Leonard’s Issues Voluntary Recall of Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread

Danbury, CT – October 3, 2024 – Stew Leonard’s is voluntarily recalling its Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread because it may contain undeclared walnuts.  39 units of the product were sold in Stew Leonard’s bakery department between September 26 – October 2, 2024, at the store’s location in Danbury, Conn. only.

The recall was initiated after a customer discovered that a loaf of Chocolate Chunk Banana Bread had walnuts in it, but walnuts were not declared on the label.

No illnesses have been reported to date.  People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to walnuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. 

Consumers who have purchased this bread are urged to discard it or bring it back to Stew Leonard’s Customer Service desk in Danbury for a full refund.
