NJ DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE OFFICIALS JOIN LOCAL COMMUNITY IN OPENING CEREMONY OF WORLD’S LARGEST DAIRY STORE, STEW LEONARD’S, IN GARDEN STATE WITH LIVE COWS!!!!!!
CLIFTON, NJ - State of New Jersey Senator John McKeon and City of Clifton Mayor Raymond Grabowski will join Department of Agriculture officials and Stew Leonard, Jr., CEO of Stew Leonard’s, and dozens of state and local officials in opening a new store and dedicating a 300-pound bronze statue in honor of former milkman Stew Leonard, Sr., who passed away last year. Mr. Leonard founded the famous Stew Leonard's grocery store which has become a 600-million-dollar family-owned supermarket chain with locations in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. It is the World’s Largest Dairy Store and has been dubbed the "Disneyland of Dairy Stores" by The New York Times.
Officials and community leaders will be toasting the opening of the new store in the Garden State with milk and live cows along with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 14th at 12:00 p.m., at Stew Leonard's, 467 Allwood Rd., Clifton, NJ.
Stew Leonard's buys dairy and produce from dozens of local farms in the tri-state area. A produce distributor, representing farmers in NJ, will be at the press conference to discuss the upcoming summer season crops. New Jersey is famous for its blueberries, tomatoes, and other produce.
