STEW LEONARD JR. PREPS FOR HIS YANKEES CLOSE-UP
WHO / WHAT: Supermarket superstar Stew Leonard Jr. is gearing up to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the New York Yankees game on Tuesday, August 12. To make sure his delivery is Major League–worthy, the President and CEO of Stew Leonard’s has called in an all-star coaching staff for a special practice session. Helping Stew perfect his pitch will be:
- Matthew Rinaldi, this past year’s captain of the Norwalk High School baseball team, joined by a few of his fellow teammates.
- Stew Leonard's Team Member Lindsey Anrico, former Division I softball maven, behind the plate as catcher.
- Youth players & their families from Norwalk Little League.
- Wow the Cow and supporting Team Members from Stew Leonard's, Stew's Wines, and Stewie the Duck Swim School.
WHEN: Monday, August 11 at 2:00 PM EST
WHERE: The Norwalk store’s Garden Center will be transformed into a mini ballpark complete with a pitcher’s mound and home plate for one last round of practice before the big day.
