2025 HARVEST & HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS AT STEW LEONARD’S IN NEWINGTON
WHAT:
Chefs, bakers, and Stew Leonard’s most-loved costumed characters will bring the fall to life this September and October at Stew Leonard’s in Newington, including special events celebrating harvest season and Halloween.

Halloween Walk Through
Wednesday, October 1- Friday, October 31, 2025
Open during store hours
Starting on Wednesday, October 1, shoppers can follow a Halloween Walk Through under the tent in Stew Leonard’s pumpkin patch. This complimentary family-friendly experience, featuring more than a dozen Halloween-themed scenes using inflatable characters, decorations, and more, is open daily through Halloween.
Pumpkin Palooza
October 18 & 19, 2025
11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Those who purchase a pumpkin at Stew Leonard’s in Newington on October 18 or 19 between 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. are invited to a complimentary pumpkin painting event located in the front of the store. Proof of pumpkin purchase is required; no advanced registration needed.
Design a Trick-or-Treat Bag Workshop
Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Ages 4-12
$15 per child
In today’s class, children will design a personalized trick-or-treat canvas bag to use on Halloween night or during our Trick or Treat event! Each child will also decorate a Halloween cupcake to take home. Kids are invited to join the fun anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Parents are asked to stay with their children during the event.
Trick or Treat with Stew Leonard’s Characters
Tuesday, October 21, 2025
4 – 5:30 p.m.
Children ages 8 and younger are invited to dress in their Halloween costumes and come to Stew Leonard’s in Newington to go trick-or-treating. Goodie bags will be provided to children to collect their candy as they visit trick-or-treating stations throughout the store. Stew Leonard’s famous characters, including mascot Wow the Cow, will be available for taking photos with children.
Due to a high level of interest from our shoppers, Stew Leonard’s in Newington will offer free tickets to the Trick-or-Treat event for 400 kids. Families can register for the free tickets via EventBrite.com beginning on September 30, 2025.
Stew’s Spooktacular Bingo Night
Friday, October 24, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
All ages
$10 per participant
Join us for a spooktacular bingo night, hosted by our favorite blue heeler pup, Bluey! Tickets are $10 per participant, which includes a slice of pizza, a drink, and a cup of donut holes! Additional food and drink are available for purchase. Prizes will be awarded throughout the night! Halloween costumes are encouraged!
Spooky Cupcake Decorating Pop-in Workshop
Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Ages 2-12
$20 per child
Calling all cupcake decorators! Today, children will decorate four Halloween themed cupcakes! Children will also get to decorate a cupcake box. Kids are invited to join the fun anytime between 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. Parents are asked to stay with their children.
