Halloween Walk Through
Thursday, October 1- Saturday, October 31, 2026
Open during store hours
Starting on Wednesday, October 1, shoppers can follow a Halloween Walk Through under the tent in Stew Leonard’s pumpkin patch. This complimentary family-friendly experience, featuring more than a dozen Halloween-themed scenes using inflatable characters, decorations, and more, is open daily through Halloween.
Design Your Own Spooky Doormat Workshop
Friday, October 2, 2026, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Ages 4 and up
$20 per child
Join us as we make Halloween themed doormats! Each child will receive their own doormat and will have various designs to choose from. While doormats are drying, kids will enjoy snacks and create their own spooky punch!
Pumpkin Palooza
October 17 & 18, 2026
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Those who purchase a pumpkin at Stew Leonard’s in Newington on October 17 or 18 between 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. are invited to a complimentary pumpkin painting event located in the front of the store. Proof of pumpkin purchase is required. No advanced registration needed.
Stew’s Spooktacular Bingo Night
Friday, October 23, 2026, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
All ages
$10 per participant
Join us for a spooktacular bingo night, hosted by our favorite blue heeler pup, Bluey! Tickets are $10 per participant and include a slice of pizza, a drink, and a cup of donut holes! Additional food and drink are available for purchase. Prizes will be awarded throughout the night! This is an open-house-style event, so feel free to drop in anytime during event hours! The event will take place in our Hayloft dining area upstairs. Halloween costumes are encouraged!
Trick or Treat with Stew Leonard’s Characters
Tuesday, October 27, 2026
4 – 5:30 p.m.
Children ages 8 and younger are invited to dress in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard’s in Newington to go trick-or-treating. Goodie bags will be provided to children to collect their candy as they visit trick-or-treating stations throughout the store. Stew Leonard’s famous characters, including mascot Wow the Cow, will be available for taking photos with the children.
Due to a high level of interest from our shoppers, Stew Leonard’s in Newington will offer free tickets to the Trick-or-Treat event for 400 kids. Families can register for the free tickets via EventBrite.com beginning on September 30, 2026.
Spooky Cupcake Decorating Pop-in Workshop
Friday, October 30, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Ages 2 and up (all children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult)
$20 per child
Calling all cupcake decorators! Join us tonight between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. for a spooky-fun Halloween decorating event. Kids will decorate four Halloween-themed cupcakes and personalize their very own cupcake box to take home. This is an open-house-style event, so feel free to drop in anytime during event hours! Note: Parents are required to stay with their children throughout the activity.
